Church Staff:

Daniel Cammarn, Interim Pastor

The Reverend Daniel J. Cammarn began service as our interim pastor in October 2018. Pastor Dan received a BSEE degree from The Ohio State University, and received a Master of Divinity and did post-graduate work at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg.

Pastor Dan has served at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in New Tripoli, PA for five years, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Tower City, PA for ten years, and Grace Lutheran Church in Wadsworth, OH as senior pastor for fifteen years.  In 2015, he decided to take his ministry in a new direction and began working as an intentional interim minister on behalf of the synod. Pastor Dan has done intentional interims at Faith Lutheran Church and Saint Paul's Lutheran in Massillon, as well as Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Alliance.

Pastor Dan is married to Pastor Ann Paynter, who presently serves as senior pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Wooster. Pastors Dan and Ann previously worked together at Grace Lutheran Church in Wadsworth for twelve years. They have been happily married for 34 years. Pastors Dan and Ann have two children: Kathryn Cammarn Maliskas, who is a special education curriculum coach in Cypress, Texas; and Grace Cammarn Katsaros, who is a data analyst for Progressive Insurance in Cleveland. They spend as much time as possible visiting their ten-month old grandson, Teddie, in Cypress. Pastors Dan and Ann reside in Wooster.

Denise Lang, Traditional Music Director & Rejoice! Choir Director

Denise has been the organist here since she was sixteen, predating the rest of the staff!  She is a gifted and dedicated musician.  Besides being an accomplished musician, she also enjoys the art of oil painting, which she does with meticulous precision. She lives with her daughter Amanda, who is an exuberant presence in our midst. We greatly miss her husband Jerry who died in 2010.

Beth Fry, Church Treasurer

Our financial books are kept in perfect order by our treasurer, Beth Fry. Beth took over as treasurer in 2016. Beth has also worked part-time for Directions Credit Union for 34 years and has served Perry Township as the fiscal officer for 16 years. She is a lifetime resident of Bellville, and life-long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Beth and her husband, Amos, were married here over 30 years ago and have two grown children.

Katie Will, Nursery Coordinator

Katie has been with St. Paul since she herself was in the nursery. She now enhances the lives of our youngest members by maintaining a safe, fun, and relaxed nursery! Katie can be found with a mob of children swarming her wherever she goes, and if the kids aren't with her soaking up her joy, they are probably doting on her own two children, Collin and Carmen.

Dick Gehrisch SPLC.png

Dick Gehrisch, Janitor

You will never see Dick Gehrisch. Like an unseen gnome, he is where you are not - cleaning, straightening, picking up. He makes our building shine. Also a lifelong resident of the Clear Fork Valley, he attends church on Sunday morning—slicked up in his Sunday best, unlike what Dick might be wearing when cleaning—and he will be the one who makes you laugh, for he goes through life joyfully.
